WAU After School Clubs
The WAU clubs are for swimmer of varying skill levels. There are groups for both more experienced swimmers and for those who don't swim well enough to be allowed in the big pool (unable to swim 25 meters on their stomach without stopping). The WAU groups are also divided by age: grades 1-3 and grades 4-6. WAU clubs are a collaborative effort between Cetus, the city of Espoo and Espoon Telinetaiturit (gymnastics club).
The Muuvi clubs are intended for children aged 10-12 years old and always train in the big pool. Because of this, all participants must be able to swim face down and face down (preferably) at least 25 meters without stopping. The instructor stays on the pool deck throughout the training session. We also offer a Muuvi diving group, where children can learn the basics of diving in a safe environment.
Signing up for both WAU and Muuvi clubs is done through Cetus. These clubs offer children the opportunity to experience a variety of sports at no cost. Cetus, however, only organises swimming clubs.
Starting level requirements
The clubs meet at the Espoonlahti, Leppävaara, Matinkylä and Keski-Espoo pools. The clubs are offered at no cost to the participants. For safety reasons the number of participants is limited and the clubs require registration in advance.
